Application and Appointment Process
The 2024 JH Accountability Board Application is now closed.
Key Steps in the Appointment Process
- September 12, 2023 – Application period opens, and applications are posted online and shared with JHU community of neighbors, students, faculty, and staff;
- October 9, 2023 (extended to October 16, 2023) – Deadline to apply for the Board; Nominating Committee begins review and evaluation of applications;
- November 2023 – New Board members are nominated by University leadership and announced;
- January 2024 – University leadership sends list of University-nominated Accountability Board members to the Maryland State Senate for consideration and confirmation;
- 2024 Legislative Session – Maryland State Senate confirmation hearings.
Once all members are appointed and confirmed, the new Accountability Board term will begin on June 1, 2024.
