JULY
July 12, 2024, 6:44 p.m., 3000 block of Abell Avenue. Armed robbery. A non-affiliate was taking items out of his car when he was approached by a gold Hyundai with three juvenile males all wearing black ski masks. One of the males was armed with an firearm. They asked the non-affiliate for his property. The vehicle was last seen traveling west on 30th Street. No injuries reported.
JUNE
June 24, 2024, 9:15 p.m., 2900 block of North Charles Street. Aggravated assault. Two victims reported they were walking when an unknown female in the passenger side of a stolen vehicle shot both victims with a BB gun and fled the area. The stolen vehicle was described as a blue Toyota HR-C with a Maryland tag.
June 23, 2024, 3:17 p.m., 3110 block of St. Paul Street. Assault. Two JHU affiliates were walking in the area when they were approached by an unknown female suspect. The suspect yelled at the affiliates before they grabbed one of the affiliates by the arm and struck them in the face with a closed fist. The suspect fled the area on foot, but was later located by Baltimore City Police officers and identified. No injuries reported.
APRIL
April 7, 2024, 5 a.m., St. Paul and 29th streets. Attempted armed robbery. A non-affiliate was walking when four males got out of a white vehicle and approached him. One of the males displayed a handgun. The suspects searched the victim and removed a pack of cigarettes and a cell phone from the victim’s pocket. The suspects gave the items back to the victim. The suspects got back into the vehicle and fled the area heading westbound on 29th Street. No injuries reported.
MARCH
March 29, 2024, 10:19 p.m., 2700 block of N. Charles Street. Armed carjacking. A non-affiliate was sitting in their parked vehicle, a 2012 Black Acura TL, when two males approached, opened the driver’s door and assaulted the victim. An acquaintance came to the victim’s aid and one of the suspects brandished a knife. Suspects then entered the Acura and were last seen driving east on 27th Street.
2023
DECEMBER
December 20, 2023, 8:50 p.m., 211 West 28th Street (7-11 Store). Commercial armed robbery. Two male suspects entered the store and approached the cashier. One suspect was armed with a handgun and demanded money. The suspects took the money and left the store in a waiting vehicle which was last seen driving east on 28th Street.
December 5, 2023, 3:50 p.m., 2900 block of Remington Avenue. Armed robbery. Five male subjects exited a dark colored vehicle and approached two non-affiliate victims. The subjects surrounded the victims and forcibly took their cell phones. Two subjects displayed handguns during the incident. The subjects subsequently reentered the vehicle and it fled south on Remington Avenue. One victim was injured during the incident.
NOVEMBER
November 7, 2023, 4 a.m., bus stop at University Parkway and Guilford Avenue. Armed robbery. A JHU affiliate was standing at the bus stop when the male suspect approached the victim, displayed a black colored handgun and stated “give me your phone and any cash”. An iPhone and cash was handed over to the suspect. The suspect then ran eastbound on University Parkway towards Greenmount Avenue. No injuries reported.
OCTOBER
October 21, 2023, 8:10 p.m., 300 blk of East 31st Street. Armed carjacking. A non-affiliate was approached by a male suspect armed with a handgun. The suspect placed the gun in the side of the non-affiliate stating, “Give me your keys”. The keys were surrendered, at which time the suspect entered the vehicle and was last seen driving west on East 31st Street. Vehicle was recovered, unoccupied, a short time later, near North Washington Street and East Lafayette Steet. No injuries reported.
AUGUST
August 17, 2023, 4:25 a.m., Subway, 3233 St. Paul Street. Commercial armed robbery. A male suspect entered the store and approached the cashier. The suspect was armed with a black handgun demanded the cashier open the cash register and safe. The suspect removed the money from the cash drawer and was given money from the safe. The suspect subsequently departed and was last seen walking eastbound on E. 33rd Street. No injuries reported.
MAY
May 19, 2023, 10:47 a.m., 800 block of East 33rd Street. Armed robbery. Three male subjects approached an affiliate and one of the suspects implied he was armed. One of the suspects removed the affiliates cellphone from their pocket. The subjects fled west on 33rd Street toward Ellerslie Avenue. No injuries reported.
May 9, 2023, 12:45 a.m., 3100 Hargrove Street. Robbery. Two male subjects approached a non-affiliate victim. The subjects pushed the victim to the ground and forcibly took their purse. The subjects fled east on 31st Street toward Guilford Avenue. No injuries reported.
APRIL
April 22, 2023, 8:20 p.m., East 33rd Street. Armed robbery. A male suspect approached a JHU affiliate. The suspect told the affiliate to give him his cell phone, while displaying what appeared to be a razor blade. The affiliate complied and gave the suspect his cell phone. The suspect then made several electronic cash transactions on the victim’s phone before fleeing the area on foot heading eastbound on 33rd Street.
FEBRUARY
February 14, 2023, 10:14 p.m., 1 E. University Parkway. Armed robbery. Two affiliates were walking in the area when they were approached by a male subject who displayed a handgun. The subject then said, “Give me everything you got.” One of the affiliates dropped his ear pods and keys. The subject picked up the ear pods and fled the area on foot. He was last seen heading eastbound on University Parkway. No injuries reported.
February 14, 2023, 5:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., the areas of Gilman Hall and Mudd Hall. Indecent exposure. The individual did not touch or speak to anyone.
JANUARY
January 24, 2023, 3:20 p.m., 7-Eleven, 3003 N. Charles Street. Commercial armed robbery. A male suspect entered the store and approached the cashier. The suspect implied that he had a weapon and demanded money. The cashier complied with the suspect’s demand. The suspect left the store and was last seen walking eastbound on East 30th Street.
January 20, 2023, 2:40 p.m., Orient Express, at 3111 St. Paul Street. Commercial armed robbery. A male subject entered the location and implied that he had a weapon. The subject demanded money and the employees did not comply. The subject subsequently departed and was last seen running northbound on St. Paul Street. No injuries reported.
January 20, 2023, 1:40 p.m., Motzi Bread, at 2801 Guilford Ave. Commercial armed robbery. A male suspect entered the location and implied that he had a weapon. The subject demanded money and the employee complied. Upon taking the money, the subject departed. The subject was last seen running northbound on Hunter Street. No injuries reported.
January 11, 2023, 12:10 a.m., 7-Eleven, 3003 N. Charles Street. Commercial armed robbery. A male suspect entered the store and approached the clerk. He then implied he had a weapon and he said, “Give me the money from the register.” The clerk complied, and the suspect was given money and six packs of cigarettes. The suspect fled the area on foot. No injuries reported.
January 6, 2023, 10:20 p.m., 224 Homewood Terrace. Attempted armed robbery. Four male subjects exited a vehicle and approached a JHU affiliate. One of the subjects displayed a handgun, but the affiliate fled the area on their bike before the suspect could complete the robbery. No injuries reported.
2022
DECEMBER
December 20, 2022, 7:10 p.m., Keswick Road and West 40th Street. Assault. An affiliate was riding a bicycle southbound on Keswick Road, toward the intersection of 40th Street when they were approached from behind by a vehicle. A subject in the vehicle made verbal threats toward the affiliate and threw a bottle at them. The vehicle then fled from the scene and was last seen traveling westbound on 40th Street. No injuries reported.
OCTOBER
October 27, 2022, 11:10 a.m., 3300 block San Martin Drive. Armed robbery. A non-affiliate was walking north when two males approached from the rear. One of subjects was armed with a handgun and demanded the victim’s cell phone and password, which were surrendered. The subjects drove south on San Martin Drive towards Wyman Park Drive. No injuries reported.
October 24, 2022, 11:15 p.m., 100 block of West University Parkway. Armed robbery. An affiliate was approached by three males in a black Acura who asked the affiliate to get into the vehicle. When the affiliate refused, the three males exited the car and approached the affiliate. All three subjects were armed with handguns. One of the subjects struck the affiliate, who was then forced into their vehicle. The subjects took the victim’s cell phone and drove the victim to several ATM’s at unknown locations, where cash was withdrawn. The victim was then driven to Charles Street and University Parkway and let out of the vehicle. The vehicle was last seen driving west on University Parkway. The victim was provided medical attention on Oct. 25 by Baltimore City Fire Department.
October 15, 2022, 3:26 p.m., Wyman Park. Armed robbery. Public Safety has become aware of a recent pattern of robberies that have occurred in the 3700 to 3800 block of Tudor Arms Avenue. In this most recent incident, an affiliate and non-affiliate were walking on a trail in Wyman Park when they were approached by four suspects. Two of the suspects displayed handguns and told the victims to empty their pockets. As one of the victims was removing items from his pockets, he was struck by one of the suspects. Taken: two cell phones and a wallet. The suspects fled in an electric blue Hyundai Tuscan, heading south on Tudor Arms Avenue. No injuries reported.
October 8, 2022, 4:05 p.m., 300 block of Wyman Park Drive. Armed robbery. A non-affiliate was running along Wyman Park Drive toward the Homewood campus when they were approached from behind by a small four-door, silver sedan. As the vehicle reached the non-affiliate’s location, it stopped in the roadway. Three subjects exited the vehicle, approached the non-affiliate, and forced them into a nearby wooded area. One of the subjects displayed a silver handgun and demanded the non-affiliate’s cell phone. Taken: a cell phone and a wristwatch. The subjects returned to the vehicle and fled along Wyman Park Drive. The vehicle was last seen turning northbound onto Remington Avenue. The non-affiliate fell to the ground during the altercation and suffered minor injuries.
SEPTEMBER
September 26, 2022, 4:05 p.m., CVS, 3200 St. Paul Street. Commercial armed robbery. A male subject entered the store and took several items off the shelves. When an employee approached the male subject, the subject displayed a handgun and fled the store. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.
September 22, 2022, 3:30 a.m., 3500 block of St. Paul Street between University Parkway and 34th Street. Burglary/assault. An affiliate victim was awoken by an unidentified suspect in her bedroom. The victim screamed and the suspect ran out of the apartment in an unknown direction. The apartment building and surrounding area was checked for the suspect with negative results. There was physical contact between the victim and suspect, however no injuries were reported.
JULY
July 31, 2022, 8:56 p.m., 2900 block of Guilford Avenue. Armed robbery. Two male subjects exited a black, mid-size vehicle and approached an affiliate near the alley. One of the subjects pointed an unknown caliber handgun at the affiliate and ordered him to drop everything that was in his pockets. The affiliate dropped his wallet, house keys, and another affiliate’s vehicle key. The suspects took money from the wallet and the vehicle key. Both suspects then approached a female affiliate who was waiting outside of her vehicle. One of the suspects pointed the gun at her and attempted to get into her vehicle. The affiliate yelled and both suspects ran back to their vehicle and fled the area heading eastbound on 30th Street. No injuries reported at the scene.
July 22, 2022, 7:45 p.m., 2900 block of Guilford Avenue between 29th and 30th streets. Attempted armed carjacking. A non-affiliate was getting items out of the trunk. The suspect walked up to the victim armed with a dark handgun and attempted to take his car keys out of his pants pocket. Two citizens passed by the scene the suspect ran in an unknown direction. No property was taken. The victim injured his ankle but refused medical treatment.
July 21, 2022, 7:28 a.m., 2700 block of St. Paul Street between 27th and 28th streets. Attempted carjacking. A non-affiliate was opening his trunk when a blue Chevrolet SUV pulled up. Three suspects with ski masks—one with a handgun in his waist band—exited the SUV. They approached the victim and snatched his keys. They returned to the SUV, and one struck the victim with his hand. Upon the arrival of neighbors, the suspect returned to the SUV. The suspects did not obtain the victims vehicle. The SUV was last seen driving south on St. Paul Street. The victim refused medical treatment.
July 17, 2022, 3 p.m., 300 block of Wyman Park Drive. Assault. An affiliate was walking along Wyman Park Drive toward the Homewood campus when they were approached from behind by a white sedan. As the vehicle reached the affiliate’s location, the driver displayed a bb-gun and shot the affiliate. The vehicle then fled from the scene and was last seen traveling on Wyman Park Drive, toward the intersection of Remington Avenue and the Homewood campus. Minor injuries reported.
JUNE
June 25, 2022, 11:20 p.m., Subway restaurant, 3233 St. Paul Street. Attempted armed robbery. A man entered the restaurant while displaying a dark-colored handgun and demanded U.S currency. Employees immediately retreated to the rear of the restaurant, and the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.
June 13, 2022, 7:25 a.m., St. Paul and 31st Street. Assault. While waiting for a bus, an affiliate victim was spat on by e suspect spat on by a man. The victim got on the bus and left the area. Upon being made aware of the incident, Public Safety canvassed the area for the suspect with negative results.
June 5, 2022, 12:42 a.m., near 104 W. University Parkway. Armed carjacking. A victim was approached by four male suspects. Two of the suspects displayed dark-colored handguns and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle was surrendered, at which time the suspects entered it and fled westbound on W. University Parkway. The vehicle was recovered, unoccupied, a short time later, near 2633 St. Paul Street. No injuries reported.
MAY
May 11, 2022, 7:37 p.m., Art Museum Drive and Wyman Park Drive. Robbery. Four male subjects on bikes approached a non-affiliate victim who was riding a bike on the sidewalk. One of the subjects grabbed the front wheel of the non-affiliate’s bike while the other three subjects surrounded the non-affiliate. The non-affiliate got off the bike and the subject took the bike. The subjects were last seen riding bikes southbound in the 2800 block of N. Howard Street. No injuries reported.
APRIL
April 27, 2022, 5:20 a.m., 3300 Block of Calvert Street between 33rd Street and E. University Parkway. Armed robbery. A non-affiliate cab driver was dropping off a fare when a suspect approached the driver, opened up the vehicle’s front door, pointed a handgun at the driver, and demanded money. The driver had no money, but gave the suspect a bag containing a water bottle and mask. The suspect then entered a brown SUV and drove south on Guilford Avenue. No injuries reported.
April 21, 2022, 11 a.m., 2700 St. Paul Street. Armed robbery. A non-affiliate was approached by a male suspect who displayed a black handgun, and grabbed the non-affiliate’s purse while pushing them to the ground. The suspect entered a Honda van and fled southbound on St. Paul Street. No injuries reported.
April 18, 2022, 6:10 p.m., 3400 St. Paul Street. Robbery. An affiliate was approached by a male suspect. The suspect demanded the affiliate’s cellphone, which they were unable to provide. However, the affiliate did surrender cash. The suspect fled in an unknown direction. No injuries reported.
April 8, 2022, 11:30 a.m., unit block East 32nd Street, between N. Charles Street and St. Paul Street. Armed robbery. A student was walking eastbound on 32nd Street when a male suspect approached. The suspect told the student he had a handgun and knife then demanded the student’s cellphone. The student complied and the suspect attempted to transfer money through a cash app, but the student didn’t have an account. The suspect then made the student walk to an ATM and withdraw money. The suspect returned the students phone and was last seen running west on 32nd Street. No injuries reported.
MARCH
March 30, 2022, 5 a.m., 2800 block of Howard Street, between 29th and 30th Streets. Armed carjacking. A non-affiliate victim was entering his vehicle when a black Honda pulled up. Two suspects with handguns exited the Honda and approached him demanding his keys. One suspect entered his vehicle, a 2010 Infiniti and the second re-entered the Honda and both vehicles drove north on Howard Street. No injuries reported.
FEBRUARY
February 18, 2022, 10:15 p.m., 200 block E. 32nd Street between Calvert Street and Guilford Avenue. Armed robbery. A non-affiliate victim was walking westbound on 32nd Street when a male subject approached from behind, pointed a handgun, and demanded the victim’s wallet and cellphone. The victim complied. The suspect ran south on Guilford and was last seen running south on Hunter Street. No injuries reported.
February 11, 2022, 5:58 p.m., E. University Parkway between Charles Street and St. Paul Street. Robbery. A non-affiliate was walking on University Parkway when two to three male subjects approached him from behind and demanded money. The victim was struck in the back and fell to the ground dropping his phone. The suspects fled the area in an unknown direction taking the victim’s phone and money with them. The victim refused medical attention.
2021
DECEMBER
December 31, 2022, 3:30 p.m., 3100 block of Abell Avenue. Unarmed carjacking. As a non-affiliate approached their vehicle, which was running and unoccupied, an unknown male suspect pushed the non-affiliate away from the vehicle. The suspect then entered the vehicle and drove away, traveling eastbound on 30th Street. No injuries reported.
December 25, 2022, 10:19 p.m., 200 Block W. 31st Street (between Remington and Cresmont Avenues. Robbery. A non-affiliate was walking to her house when three suspects approached and struck her in the head with an unknown object and took her keys and packages. The suspects fled east on 31st Street towards Cresmont Avenue. The victim was treated by medic on the scene.
December 17, 2021, 3 a.m., 100 block of East 28th Street, between St. Paul Street and Calvert streets. Armed carjacking. Two non-affiliates were traveling east bound on 28th Street in a 4-door brown 2014 Infiniti Q50 with Maryland tags when a vehicle behind them rear ended the car. Five suspects, one armed with a handgun, exited the striking vehicle, approached the driver and his passenger, demanded the victims to exit the vehicle and took their cellphones. One suspect then drove off in the Infiniti and the other suspects re-entered the striking vehicle, described as a gray Jeep. Both vehicles were last seen driving east on 28th Street. No injuries reported.
December 12, 2021, 12:33 p.m., 300 Block of East 33rd Street between Guilford and Abell avenues. Attempted burglary. The suspect pushed in the plexiglass panel of the front door, reached inside, unlocked and opened the door, but ran away when he saw the affiliate resident. Suspect was last seen running east of 33rd Street. No property was taken.
December 9, 2021, 2:25 p.m., 100 Block of University Parkway near Calvert Street. Armed robbery. Three non-affiliates were approached by a suspect, who drove up in a vehicle and asked them for the time and they replied with the time. The suspect then parked the vehicle, approached the victims, and told them to give him a cell phone, a coat, and shoes (one item from each victim). One of the victims believed to have seen the suspect holding a handgun in his pocket, though the handgun was never displayed. The suspect then got back into the vehicle and drove west bound on University Parkway. No injuries reported.
December 2, 2021, 11:20 a.m., 7-Eleven, 3003 North Charles St. Commercial armed robbery. A suspect entered the store and approached the clerk. The suspect displayed a handgun and removed the cash register drawer containing U.S. currency. The suspect was last seen walking southbound on North Charles Street while carrying the cash register drawer. No injuries reported.
NOVEMBER
November 29, 2021, 3:15 p.m., 7-Eleven, 3003 North Charles St. Commercial robbery. Two suspects entered the store, collected numerous items of merchandise, and left without paying. One of the suspects physically assaulted the clerk during the incident. The suspects fled in an unknown direction with the merchandise. No injuries reported.
November 22, 2021, 8:31 p.m., 300 block of East 31st Street between Guilford and Abell avenues. Armed carjacking. A non-affiliate was unloading her vehicle when two suspects approached her. One suspect pointed a handgun at the victim, who dropped her purse with keys. One of the suspects picked up the purse and they got into the vehicle and drove away. The vehicle was last seen heading east towards Greenmount Avenue. No injuries reported.
November 21, 2021, 1:45 p.m., 2800 block of Guilford Avenue between 28th and 29th streets. Armed carjacking. An affiliate was unloading her vehicle when two suspects approached her. One suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded her keys. The suspects got into the vehicle and drove away. The vehicle was last seen heading south on Guilford Ave. No injuries reported.
OCTOBER
October 31, 2021, 9:30 p.m., North and Maryland Avenues. Unarmed robbery. An affiliate was walking with a friend when the friend was assaulted by six suspects and the affiliate’s bag was taken. Suspects left the area in an unknown direction.
October 30, 2021, 2900 Wyman Parkway (Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house). An alleged intentional drugging is reported to have occurred during a nighttime party. The incident has been reported to the Baltimore Police and is under investigation by the university.
October 24, 2021, 10:05 p.m., 7-Eleven, 3003 N. Charles Street. Armed robbery. A male subject entered the store, displayed a silver-colored handgun, and demanded U.S. currency. The clerk complied and the subject fled on foot in an unknown direction. No injuries reported.
October 23, 2021, 2:45 a.m., 3222 St. Paul Street. Robbery. An affiliate entered the Chase bank ATM vestibule, accompanied by an unknown female subject. The affiliate accepted a ride back to the campus area with the subject and a male subject, and intended to make a withdrawal to provide a “tip” for the ride. While in the vestibule, the female subject forcibly removed the affiliate’s wallet and cell phone from their hands. The subject then exited the vestibule and re-entered the suspect vehicle. The vehicle was last seen traveling southbound on St. Paul Street. The subjects were unknown to the affiliate. No injuries reported.
October 1, 2021, 12:13 a.m., 27th Street and Guilford Avenue. Unarmed carjacking. The victim was approached by a suspect while getting items out of a trunk of a car. The suspect said, “Don’t move. Give me your keys and your phone.” The victim placed the keys and cell phone on the vehicle. The suspect took the vehicle keys and then got into the vehicle drove south on Guilford Avenue towards 26th Street. No injuries reported.
SEPTEMBER
September 23, 2021, 5 p.m, MSE Library. Indecent exposure. An adult male in his late 40s to mid 50s, white hair, approximately 5’10 with a stocky build and wearing blue jeans and a grey hooded sweatshirt.
September 17, 2021, 2:22 a.m., 3300 block of North Charles Street between 33rd and 34th streets. Aggravated assault. A student was walking south on Charles Street when a small blue sedan pulled beside her with two suspects inside. One of the suspects attempted to talk to the student, who continued to walk away. The suspects exited the vehicle and splashed a liquid from a soda bottle which is believed to have been soda. Both suspects returned to the vehicle, which was last seen driving north on Charles Street. No injuries reported.
September 14, 2021, 9:47 p.m., 2700 block of Guilford Avenue between 27th Street and 28th Street. Armed carjacking. A non-affiliate exited her vehicle when two suspects approached her. One suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded her keys. The suspects got into the vehicle and drove away. The vehicle was last seen heading north on Guilford Avenue. No injuries reported. The vehicle was recovered a short time later.
September 2, 2021, 6 p.m., 1800 block of N. Charles Street, near the Parkway Theater. Assault. A student was pushed to the ground. The adult female perpetrator, used racially abusive, anti-Asian language against the victim and her companion during the course of the assault.
AUGUST
August 27, 2021, 10:30 p.m., 2700 block of N. Calvert Street between 27th and 28th streets. Armed carjacking. A non-affiliate exited his vehicle, leaving the engine on to deliver food. While walking north on Calvert Street, he was approached from behind by three male suspects. Two of the suspects displayed dark handguns and demanded the keys to the vehicle, got into the vehicle, and drove away. The vehicle was last seen heading north on Calvert Street. No injuries reported.
August 26, 2021, 2:05 a.m., 2800 block of St. Paul Street between 28th and 29th streets. Armed carjacking. A non-affiliate exited his vehicle and was walking on St. Paul Street when he was approached by four male suspects. Two of the suspects displayed dark handguns. One of the suspects told the victim “give me your keys or I will shoot.” The keys were handed over. The suspects then got into the vehicle and drove away. The vehicle was last seen heading south on St. Paul Street. No injuries reported.
August 23, 2021, 8:10 p.m., 2700 block of St. Paul Street between 27th and 28th streets. Armed carjacking. A non-affiliate was approached by three male suspects while getting out of her vehicle. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and told the victim not to scream. The suspects then took the victims cell phone, wallet, and the vehicle. The vehicle last seen heading south on St. Paul Street. No injuries reported.
MAY
May 26, 2021, 12:45 a.m., 2700 block of St. Paul Street, between 27th and 28th streets. Armed robbery. The victim was approached by two unknown suspects wearing dark clothing. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspects fled northbound on St. Paul Street.
May 25, 2021, 2 a.m., unit block of E. 28th Street, between Charles and St. Paul streets. Armed robbery. Two victims were approached by two unknown suspects. First suspect struck one of the victims with a handgun and demanded keys. Second suspect grabbed the other victim’s bag. Suspects fled in a four-door white vehicle.
May 23, 2021, 12:45 a.m., 3300 block of Beech Avenue. Armed robbery. Four victims were robbed by two suspects, one armed with a handgun. The suspects fled north on Beech Avenue.

They threatened the victim and implied they were armed. No weapons displayed. Nothing taken. The suspects fled south on Guilford Avenue.
May 4, 2021, 7:45 a.m., 3400 block of Greenway between N. Charles and St. Paul streets. An affiliate was approached by three unknown juvenile males. One of the males asked for her keys and she screamed. The three males then ran away on foot. No weapons displayed. Nothing taken. No injuries reported.

April 24, 2021, 10:30 p.m., 3200 block of Charles Street. Assault. A victim riding a scooter encountered a group of three individuals. During a verbal exchange, the victim was shoved and fell to the ground. The victim then ran away. The suspects walked away in the opposite direction and did not attempt to follow the victim. No property was taken. No injuries reported.
April 10, 2021, 6:10 p.m., 200 block of East 32nd Street between North Calvert Street and Guilford Avenue. Armed carjacking. The victim was approached from the rear by two suspects while getting into his pickup truck. The suspects said, “Don’t turn around and give me your keys.” The victim dropped the keys on the front seat and the suspects told the victim to walk eastbound on 32nd Street. The victim heard two car doors shut and the victim last saw the truck in the 3200 block of Calvert Street. No injuries reported.

February 8, 2021, 4:38 a.m., in the area of W. 33rd Street and Remington Avenue. Shooting. The victim was shot in the arm by an unknown suspect. There is no further information on the suspect. The victim was taken to an area hospital.

June 22, 2020, 8:42 p.m., 2700 block of Calvert Street, between 27th and 28th streets. Armed carjacking. While getting into his car, the victim was approached by a male suspect who said, “Give me your car, I got a gun.” The victim exited the car, and the suspect then got in and drove onto Hargrove Street, then eastbound on 28th Street. No injuries reported.
June 21, 2020, 7 p.m., in front of the Charles Village Pub, 3107 St. Paul Street. Unarmed robbery. A non-affiliate had just left the pub when two male suspects approached him and pushed him over. One suspect said, “Give me what you got.” Taken: a wallet containing cash and an iPhone.
June 4, 2020, 3:45 a.m., 3200 block of Guilford Avenue. Attempted burglary. A man cut a rear window’s screen and attempted to cut its lock. When he was observed by the resident from inside the dwelling, the suspect fled without gaining entry.

April 10, 2020, 1:41 p.m., 3000 block of Abell Avenue, between 30th and 31st streets. Armed robbery. A non-affiliate victim was unloading his vehicle when five male juvenile suspects approached. One suspect indicated that he had a gun and took car keys from the victim. The suspects then entered the victims vehicle, a 2005 light blue Toyota Matrix, MD tag 9ENG98, and drove away, heading south on 30th Street. No injuries reported.
April 6, 2020, between 5:30 and 6 a.m., in the area of N. Charles Street and University Parkway. Armed robbery. The victim exited a bus and was walking towards another bus when the suspect approached from behind. The suspect put a gun on the victim’s back, said, “Give me what you got,” and told the victim to empty his pockets. The suspect fled an unknown direction with the victim’s property.
* April 5, 2020, 2:50 p.m., CVS, at 3200 St. Paul Street. Armed robbery. An employee saw a woman placing items in her handbag. The employee tried to stop the suspect, who displayed a knife. The suspect left the store and was last seen walking east on 32nd Street. No injuries reported.

March 10, 2020, 8:20 p.m., 3000 block of Lovegrove Street, between 30th and 31st streets. Armed carjacking. A female graduate student was exiting her 2007 Toyota Highlander when she was approached by three juvenile males. One suspect displayed a black revolver and demanded her keys and cellphone. The victim complied. The suspects entered her vehicle and drove north on Lovegrove, stopping in the 3100 block to pick up two female juveniles before continuing northward. No injuries reported.
FEBRUARY
Feb. 25, 2020, 9:35 p.m., 200 block of E.27th Street between 2700 Guilford Ave and 2700 Hunter Alley. Attempted robbery. Three juveniles approached a female non-affiliate and attempted to rob her. Two of the juveniles were arrested within minutes of the attempted robbery by Baltimore police.
* Feb. 21, 2020, unspecified time, Charles Commons Residence Hall. Theft. Property was taken from an unlocked, unoccupied dorm room. Additional reports of an unknown person trying dorm room doors has been received, but no other property has been taken.
Feb. 17 and 19, 2020, unspecified time, 3100 block of St. Paul Street and the 3100 block of Charles Street, respectively. Two women reported two incidents of an unaffiliated male making vulgar, inappropriate comments and requests of a sexual nature. The individual has been banned from campus. He was arrested by Baltimore City Police on the evening of Feb. 19 for trespassing on JHU property and is currently in police custody.
* Feb. 14, 2020, noon, Hodson and Hackerman halls. A male suspect was seen with a camera in female bathrooms on the third floor of Hodson Hall and the second floor of Hackerman Hall. The suspect fled, but was arrested Feb. 16 by Baltimore Police.
Feb. 14, 2020, 12:53 a.m., 100 Block of E. 31st Street, between St. Paul and Hargrove Streets. Armed robbery. A non-affiliate was approached by a suspect who pulled up his shirt, displayed a handgun, and said, “Want to see your wallet, phone, and your watch.” The victim complied. The suspect ran east on 31st Street towards Greenmount Avenue. No injuries reported.
Feb. 11, 2020, 4 p.m., 2800 block of Guilford Avenue, between 27th and Ilchester Streets. Attempted armed robbery. A non-affiliate was approached by two male suspects wearing black hoodies and black ski masks. One suspect was swinging a kitchen knife. The suspects stated “kick it out.” The victim was cut with the knife and ran away. Nothing was taken. The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
JANUARY
* Jan. 18, 2020, 6:20 p.m., Potbelly Restaurant, 3201B St. Paul St. Attempted commercial armed robbery. A suspect entered the restaurant, waited until customers had left, and then approached the counter and pointed a handgun at an employee. The suspect demanded, “Give me all your money.” The employee had trouble opening the cash register and screamed, and then the suspect ran from the counter and out the door in an unknown direction.
Jan. 8, 2020, 7:54 p.m., 200 W. 31st Street, between Cresmont and Remington avenues. Assault. A non-affiliate was jumped and assaulted by five to seven juveniles. The Baltimore Police and Campus Safety and Security searched the area and three of the suspects were identified as suspects in the assault and arrested. The suspects were also identified in connection to the armed robbery reported at 7:20 p.m. They remain in custody and will charged. The victim refused medical attention.
Jan. 8, 2020, 7:20 p.m., 2900 block of Cresmont Avenue, between 29th and 30th streets. Armed robbery. A non-affiliate was approached by five to seven juveniles, one of whom displayed a handgun. Taken: a cell phone, a credit card, and cash. No injuries reported.

DECEMBER
Dec. 9, 2019, 3:34 p.m., 3300 Lovegrove Street, between 3300 St. Paul and N. Charles streets. Theft. A JHU student arranged via Facebook to sell a laptop computer. The student was met by a suspect, who exited the passenger side door of a grey Volvo (a possible Pennsylvania tag LCE 7349) and received the laptop from the victim. The suspect then got back in the vehicle with the laptop and then left the scene without paying. Taken: a laptop.
NOVEMBER
Nov. 30, 2019, 2 a.m., 3200 block of Hargrove Street. Unarmed robbery. An affiliate was jogging when a suspect emerged from an alley and startled her. The affiliate became fearful and handed over her backpack. The suspect fled in an unknown direction. Taken: a backpack containing jewelry, cash, and a cellphone.
Nov. 4, 2019, 3:30 p.m., unit block of East 27th Street, between North Charles and St. Paul streets. Attempted Armed Robbery. The victim was approached by suspects who implied that they had a weapon and demanded property. The victim ignored the demands and continued walking. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.

Oct. 31, 2019, 3:52 p.m., San Martin Drive, on the sidewalk between Olin Hall and the campus security booth. Aggravated Assault. A student was struck in the back by a paintball.
Oct. 28, 2019, 6:40 p.m., 1900 block of North Charles Street between East Trenton and Lafayette streets. Suspicious incident. A man approached three non-affiliates and indicated that he had a handgun and badge and stated he was an undercover officer. The man asked for money, the non-affiliates replied no, and then the suspect walked south on Charles Street. No injuries were reported.
Oct. 21, 2019, 9:20 p.m., Art Museum Drive and Charles Street (Balimore Museum of Art pathway). Armed robbery. Two students were walking towards campus when they were approached from behind by six juvenile males. One of the juveniles was armed with a hand gun. Taken: a phone. The suspects fled south into the Wyman Park Dell. No injuries were reported.
Oct. 13, 2019, at 12:48 a.m., the area of 211 West 28th Street. Attempted armed robbery. The Baltimore Police Department learned that two separate incidents occurred involving one suspect. The first incident occurred at Remington Avenue and West 27th Street, where two non-affiliate victims were approached by a male suspect who displayed a black and silver handgun. The suspect said, “Give me all your stuff,” striking one of the victims in the head with the handgun. After a brief struggle, the suspect fled east on West 27th Street. Moments later, three non-affiliate victims were approached by a male suspect, near Howard and West 27th streets. The suspect displayed a black and silver handgun and demanded the victims’ property. The victims refused and the suspect fled south on Howard Street.
* Oct. 11, 2019, 200 East University Parkway. A sexual assault is reported to have occurred during the evening of Oct. 11, at the Delta Phi Fraternity, also known as St. Elmo’s house. Campus Safety and Security sent an alert Oct. 14, when the incident was reported to the university. The university is investigating the report.

Oct. 3, 2019, 3:50 a.m., 2900 block Guilford Avenue, between 29th and 30th streets. Armed robbery. A non-affilate was at her parked car in the rear alley on the east side of Guilford Avenue when she was approached by a man who displayed a handgun and demanded her keys and phone. Taken: keys, phone, and a 2014 silver Honda Civic with unknown Delaware tags. No injuries were reported.

Sept. 19, 2019, 1 p.m., 2800 block of Howard Street, between West 28th and West 29th streets. Unarmed robbery. Two male suspects approached a non-affilate from behind and pushed her to the ground. One of the suspects said, “Give me your money.” Taken: a cell phone and a wallet. The suspects fled south on Howard Street and west on 28th Street. The victim received a minor scrape.
Sept. 12, 2019, noon, 200 block of East 30th Street, between North Calvert and Hunter streets. Unarmed robbery. A non-affiliate riding a bicycle was grabbed around the waist by a male suspect. Taken: a wallet. The suspect fled southbound on North Calvert Street. No injuries were reported.
Sept. 11, 2019, 6:35 a.m., 2800 block of St. Paul Street, between 28th and 29th streets. Armed robbery. Two non-affiliates were walking south on St. Paul Street when they were approached by a man who pulled a handgun from his jacket and said, “Give me your stuff or I’ll kill you.” The suspect fled south on St. Paul Street. Sept. 4, 2019, 11:35 a.m, 2900 block of Wyman Parkway, between West 31st and 29th streets. Unarmed robbery. An affiliate sitting in her car was approached by a man who reached inside an open window and grabbed her purse. After a brief struggle, the suspect fled north on Wyman Parkway and east on 31st Street towards Remington Avenue. Taken: purse. No injuries were reported.

Aug. 22, 2019, 7:10 a.m, corner of 31st Street and Abell Avenue. Attempted carjacking by four suspects fitting the same description as those involved in a similar incident at 7 a.m., in the 3100 block of Guilford Avenue, between 31st and 32nd streets. The suspects fled in an unknown direction in a white Acura SUV. The non-affiliate victim was not injured.
Aug. 22, 2019, 7 a.m, 3100 block of Guilford Avenue, between 31st and 32nd streets. Attempted carjacking by three male suspects and one female suspect. The non-affiliate victim was not injured.
Aug. 5, 2019, 11:21 p.m., 2700 block of St. Paul Street, between 27th and 28th streets. Armed robbery. A Peabody graduate was approaced by three male suspects, who struck her with a closed fist and took her purse before fleeing south on Charles Street and east on 26th Street. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. Taken: purse.
Aug. 5, 2019, 11:15 p.m., 2900 block of N. Charles Street, between 29th and 30th streets. Armed carjacking. A non-affiliate was walking when three male suspects approached him from the rear. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and asked for the victim’s wallet and keys, but only took the keys. The suspects took his car and fled north on Charles Street and east on 31st Street. No injuries were reported.

Two non-affiliates, a male and a female, were sitting on their front porch when a man walked up the steps, pointed a knife, demanded money, and patted down both victims before fleeing southward in the 3100 block of N. Calvert Street with the male victim’s wallet.
July 3, 2019, 9:05 p.m., 10 Art Museum Drive, between N. Charles Street and Wyman Park Drive. Armed robbery. A man approached the victim on the sidewalk, implied that he had a knife, and removed a cell phone from the victim’s pocket. No injuries were reported.
JUNE
June 30, 2019, 5:38 a.m., 3100 block of Abell Avenue, between 31st and 32nd streets. Armed carjacking. A non-affiliated male was unloading his parked vehicle when two men approached. One suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded he lay down on the ground. The victim complied and the suspects fled in his red Toyota Prius.
* June 26, 2019, 8 p.m., Gilman Hall, second floor. An unknown male made inappropriate comments to a Center for Talented Youth student before walking away. There was no physical contact between the student and the suspect.
June 12, 2019, time of incident not listed. A man brandished a weapon in the vicinity of Wyman Park Drive and San Martin Drive, following reports that he had been behaving erratically on the Homewood campus. He was taken into custody in the 2700 block of Wyman Park Drive by BPD, who recovered a machete and reported that the individual was taken to a mental health care facility. The man was involved in a prior incident on campus on May 28, when he was issued a verbal trespass warning.
June 3, 2019, 12:08 p.m., 3000 block of Hunter Street between 30th and 31st streets. Attempted armed carjacking. A nonaffiliate was getting out of her car when two male suspects approached from the rear. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and tried to take the victim’s car keys. The victim screamed and the suspects fled the area. No injuries were reported.
MAY
May 23, 2019, approximately 6 p.m., 3300 block of San Martin Drive between Wyman Park Drive and University Parkway. Assault and indecent exposure. An affiliate was jogging on San Martin Drive near the foot bridge when a man approached her, pulled down his pants, exposed himself, and grabbed her wrist. The affiliate was able to pull away and run north on San Martin Drive.
May 23, 2019, 10:34 a.m., 3100 block of North Calvert Street between 31st and 32nd streets. Unarmed robbery. A nonaffiliate was approached by from behind by three male suspects. One suspect grabbed her from behind while another grabbed her purse containing a wallet and cell phone. No injuries were reported.
