Crime and Fire Logs
Johns Hopkins maintains crime and fire logs to record all incidents in the patrol area that are reported to Public Safety. These logs are archived and available for public inspection.
Schools must quickly warn people about serious threats and provide emergency alerts for significant health or safety issues. They must also keep a public log of campus crimes and a fire log for on-campus housing.
The Clery Act does not violate FERPA. Those who report crimes or help with compliance are protected from retaliation.
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (commonly known as the Clery Act, or CSA), the annual report provides important information regarding campus safety, related policies, resources, and three years worth of crime statistics.
